Butterfly World, Preston Park
A tropical butterfly house in Preston Park, Stockton-on-Tees, where free-flying butterflies live among tropical trees and flowers, with pools of koi and terrapins. It has operated since the early 1990s and opens seasonally from late February to the end of October. It is home to over 140 different species of butterfly and hundreds of tropical host plants, alongside an animal and reptile house.
