Touch the Tundra
Bring in a tray of ice cubes covered slightly with soil or moss (to simulate permafrost). Let pupils touch it and discuss why trees can't grow deep roots here, and why the Arctic Fox needs such a thick coat and short ears compared to a woodland fox.
