Shore Crab
How it survives here:
Has a tough exoskeleton to protect it from waves and predators, and hides deep in the rocky crevices when the tide is out.

Common Limpet
How it survives here:
Clamps down onto the rock with incredible force, sealing water inside its shell to stop itself from drying out in the sun.

Beadlet Anemone
How it survives here:
Pulls its stinging tentacles inside its body when the tide goes out, looking like a harmless blob of red jelly to conserve moisture.

Starfish
How it survives here:
Clings tightly to rocks with hundreds of tiny tube feet so it isn't washed away by waves.

Mussel
How it survives here:
Closes its shell tightly when the tide goes out to trap seawater inside and survive.
